I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 32 to raise a matter of national and regional importance, namely, the proposal of Eirgrid to erect a 138 km long 400 KV power line through counties Meath, Cavan and Monaghan into County Tyrone by way of overground cables and pylons; while there is cross-party agreement at local level that these cables should be underground, it is vital that there is a clear statement by the Minister and the Government as to what is the agreed route for this important connector.
