Requests to move Adjournment of Dáil under Standing Order 32
12:00 pm
Michael Creed (Cork North West, Fine Gael)
I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 32 to raise the following urgent matter: the threat to the jobs of the 7,000 persons employed in the pig industry, which is worth in the region of €450 million and to the economy annually, and the failure of the Government to address, among other matters, the escalating cost of feed, the failure of the multiples to pay a fair price and the need for a marketing initiative to promote consumption.
