Requests to move Adjournment of Dáil under Standing Order 31
Seymour Crawford (Cavan-Monaghan, Fine Gael)
I wish to seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 31 to raise a matter of national importance, namely, the extraordinary and totally unacceptable delays encountered by people with serious illnesses, such as a 70 year old man in Monaghan General Hospital who has been waiting since last December for a life saving heart operation in St. James's Hospital and an 80 year old person who has been waiting for a surgical plate to be replaced since it broke approximately four months ago.
