I wish to seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 31 to discuss the following matter of urgent national importance, namely, that the Minister for Transport come before the House and explain the circumstances under which the Government sold a further 7% of the State's remaining stake in Aer Lingus, thereby allowing a competitor to strengthen its means of taking control of what had been the national airline.
