I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 31 to debate the following urgent matter: the crisis in the farming industry resulting from the collapse in dairy farmers' returns, the difficulties in the poultry industry resulting from the adverse publicity regarding avian influenza and the ongoing difficulties and disappearance of the mushroom industry; and the need for Government action at home and at European level before further serious damage is done.
