I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 31 to raise a matter of national importance, namely, the decision of the British Government to privatise the Sellafield nuclear reprocessing plant. This plant is vulnerable to a nuclear accident or terrorist attack which could have serious consequences for generations in Ireland and should, therefore, remain under direct British Government control and ownership.
