I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 31 to debate the following urgent matter: the recent revelation by the Radiological Protection Institute of Ireland that residents in Clonmel and the surrounding areas are at risk of radon poisoning and are experiencing as much radioactivity as workers at Sellafield, and the urgent need for action due to the proven link between exposure to radon gas and the incidence of lung cancer.
