I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 31 to raise a matter of national importance, namely, the use of Shannon Airport by the Commander in Chief of the US armed forces to meet and rally US soldiers involved under his orders in the criminal occupation of Iraq, with cataclysmic consequences for the Iraqi people; whether the Irish Government had prior knowledge of and authorised this event and whether it will tax the public purse to pay for the security provided for it; and to require the Taoiseach to address the Dáil on this matter.
