I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 31 to debate the following urgent matter: the implications for the economy and employment in the area of the announcement of the closure of the NEC plant in Ballivor, County Meath, with the loss of 350 jobs, and the need for the Government to outline the specific measures it plans to take to protect the manufacturing base in Irish industry which has suffered a series of major closures in recent months.
