I ask that Dáil Eireann be adjourned under Standing Order 31 to raise a matter of national importance, namely, the need to investigate the failure of Government to put in place the level of fire prevention inspections needed to prevent another Stardust-type tragedy, according to experts in fire prevention; the need to at least double the existing 1985 number of 11 Dublin Fire Brigade ambulances; the need to increase hospital bed capacity, which is so bad that more than 300 patients have been on accident and emergency trolleys every day this month; and for the Taoiseach to state when he will meet the relatives of the Stardust victims to hear the evidence they now have about how their loved ones died and what needs to happen.
