I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 31 to debate the following matter: the urgent need, in light of the decision last Thursday by the European Commission to attempt to close down the Irish sugar industry, for the Minister for Agriculture and Food to outline the way in which she intends to protect the rights of sugar beet growers.
