Requests to move Adjournment of Dáil under Standing Order 1.

10:30 am

Paudge Connolly (Cavan-Monaghan, Independent)

I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 31 to discuss the following matter of urgent public and national concern, namely, that Ireland is 11th in Europe for kidney transplantation and 29th in Europe for living transplantation, that only two of 93 kidney transplants so far this year were living transplants, that 405 people are on a waiting list and 1,313 are in hospital or on home dialysis and the necessity for the introduction of a living kidney transplantation programme in Ireland.
