I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 31 so that we can analyse the cost to the taxpayer resulting from the Government's admission that it has no chance of meeting the initial Kyoto pledge to reduce CO2 emissions and to examine the opportunities and incentives towards efficient energy use and renewable energy technologies which the Government has not yet developed or supported.
