Requests to move Adjournment of Dáil under Standing Order 31.
4:00 pm
Finian McGrath (Dublin North Central, Independent)
I seek leave to move a motion for the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 31 to discuss the following matter of public concern: the urgent need for the Government, and particularly the Minister for Defence, to ensure that Thomas Kenny and Joseph Fitzpatrick, two Irish soldiers who survived the notorious Niemba massacre in the Congo in November 1960, are given appropriate recognition, to urge the Minister to deal with this dark shadow from the Congo mission and to ensure justice for these two men and their families.
