I seek to move the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 31 to discuss the following matter of urgent national importance, namely the absence of a sexual assault medical unit available in the mid-west region, the consequent need for rape victims from the region to travel to Cork for forensic examination in the aftermath of an attack and the refusal of the Department of Health and Children to finance the unit on a 50:50 basis with the Health Service Executive in the mid-west.
