I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 31 to debate the following urgent matter of national importance: the ongoing cutbacks in FÁS community employment schemes, involving the loss of jobs, the closure of schemes and damage to the fabric of community life. I urge the Minister to remove immediately the three-year cap on these schemes and to make a statement on the matter.
