I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 31 to raise a matter of national importance, namely, the apparent lack of progress in repairing the roof of the national aquatic centre following the storm damage to its roof on 1 January last, the considerable inconvenience the closure of the centre has caused its 4,000 members and other users, including many elite swimmers, and the resultant cancellation of a number of international swimming competitions.
