I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 31 to raise a matter of national importance, namely, that the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment immediately clarify the future role of Shannon Development as a job creation agency in the mid-west region in view of the expected announcement today that 70 jobs at Pan European Communications will be lost; and that the Minister take immediate steps to protect these jobs and future jobs in the region.
