Requests to move Adjournment of Dáil under Standing Order 31.
10:30 am
Séamus Healy (Tipperary South, Independent)
I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 31 to raise a matter of national importance, namely, the illegal situation whereby elderly medical card holders, having requested public hospital or public nursing home care, are being forced to pay for private nursing home accommodation; the fact that this situation has been brought to the attention of the Minister by the former health boards without response; and to allow the Minister to make a statement on the matter.
