I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 31 to raise a matter of national importance, namely, the decision of Professor Aidan Halligan not to take up his post as chief executive of the Health Service Executive and the need for the Minister for Health and Children to outline what she intends to do to restore cohesion to the Government's programme for health reform.
