Requests to move Adjournment of Dáil under Standing Order 31.
4:00 pm
Bernard Durkan (Kildare North, Fine Gael)
I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 31 to debate the following urgent matter: the full circumstances relating to the recent disclosures in The Sunday Business Post wherein it was alleged that a special offer was made by the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources on behalf of the Government to one communications service provider; if it can be ascertained that the alleged deal was in accordance with EU competition rules; if a similar deal was offered to other service providers and under what conditions; and if the interests of the industrial and domestic consumer and taxpayer were best served in such circumstances.
