I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 31 to raise a matter of urgent importance, namely, the crisis in the accident and emergency section of the Mater Hospital, Dublin 7, where patients are waiting for long periods on trolleys owing to a shortage of beds; and the need to take urgent action and provide the necessary resources to resolve this issue.
