I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 31 to discuss the continuing decline in the income of draft and drift salmon fisherman off the Irish coast, due to the reduction in the fishing season from 100 days to 36 days; the need to extend the season into the second week of August; the need for an extension of the quota; and the need for non-specified safety days to be increased from four to nine.
