The junior cycle management resource hours were put in place when the junior cycle came in initially. In truth, they are temporary and roll over each year, but we roll them over as a matter of course each year. We have a junior cycle implementation group with the two post-primary teacher unions and one of them made that very point to us about looking at it in a different way. Our colleagues at the NCCA have been undertaking work on the junior cycle. Various studies have been done by the University of Limerick to consider and evaluate the experience at junior cycle.

A piece of work will be happening most likely in the next period which will look at different aspects of this. We intend to look at this as part of it.
