With the permission of the Cathaoirleach, could I get a response to my question in terms of front-line staff, particularly in the local authorities but also in the ESB? If there is an overseer in a municipal district with just a handful of outdoor workers, you will be in trouble in terms of maintenance when the emergency does come. In terms of building up to emergencies, it compounds the situation. There are also not sufficient numbers to respond. Is this issue being discussed at any level?
