The UN does not act quickly, and the certainly the General Assembly is not going to act within 24 hours to suddenly come up with a mandate for a renewed mission. The legality of the mission is open to question. Generally, the assembly makes recommendations to the Security Council. It is only the UN Security Council that can legally authorise a UN blue hat mission. It is effectively no longer a UN blue hat mission.
