Two nominations for the position of Leas-Chathaoirleach have been received, Deputies Sinéad Gibney and James Geoghegan. As Deputy Gibney was nominated first, on 22 May 2025, her nomination will be dealt with first.

In regard to the second motion, I must now put the question, "That Deputy James Geoghegan be elected Leas-Chathaoirleach of the Joint Committee on Artificial Intelligence". Is that agreed? Agreed. I declare Deputy Geoghegan elected as Leas-Chathaoirleach of the committee and congratulate the Deputy on his election.

I am advised by the clerk to the committee that we do not have time for private business. I thank everyone for coming today.
