The Senator will also know that supports go with a unit, including medical, communications and combat, for example. The number 50 allows us the flexibility to bring that platoon size up to under 50 troops. This is based on military advice I received and discussed with my military colleagues. It was not picked out of the air. There is a basis for it. The difficulty is the number 12 never had a basis. It was just the number of the smallest subunit that the military would have-----
