I congratulate the Chair and wish him well in his role. I have no doubt he will do an outstanding job. I look forward to working with him and all colleagues. I had the privilege of being on the previous committee and I thought it was very good. We did our best, specifically in the sphere of heightening awareness and accountability among local authorities. I retrospectively salute my colleague Senator Flynn for the work she did as Chair.
