The online safety code is due to be adopted quite soon. It is early days in terms of enforcement for Coimisiún na Meán. Part of its role is to look at systemic failures. In order to do that, it needs more time to look at those systemic failures over time. It is a new regulatory regime. This all came from the EU. There is a harmonised approach across the EU. Ireland has set up its digital services co-ordinator where other countries have not. We are a bit ahead of the game in some respects but in terms of the algorithms and the recommender system, this is something we need to push at EU level. It is not just a member state responsibility because a more harmonised approach is being looked for at EU level. We have a representative there in the new Commissioner so it will be incumbent on us to put pressure there around his new remit. This has a European dimension that needs to be taken into account.
