We will be able to tell where nitrogen levels or phosphorus have gone down or gone up in each and at each sampling point in each water body. We can say that but with regard to what has happened in that area is the bit where the modelling comes in. The water data in the monitoring tell us the position, the level, the concentration and the biology but we are looking in these models for information on what went on to explain what is going on with the monitoring results.
