Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Businesses: Discussion (Resumed)
Dr. Sasha Rubel:
Similarly, I am happy to follow up with you regarding our engagement at the local level in Spain. I will say that systematically we are engaging with regulators and competent authorities that are dealing with AI. That ranges from data protection authorities to national AI committees or commissions to counterparts that are thinking through updates to the AI strategy. Spain was also one of the first movers in terms of thinking through what AI regulatory sandboxes would look like. That is an area in which we engaged very proactively. We are a big supporter of the importance of regulatory sandboxes and what they represent in terms of multi-stakeholder co-operation. We are aware that we are working backwards from, I believe, a mid-June deadline for nominations to the AI board. We expect to have more clarity with regard to competent authorities as the time continues.
