In the first instance, I would say that these changes are not going to come into effect overnight. There will be a tail associated with them and there will be a continuum. I mentioned that Microsoft supports the initiative of the committee's report from November 2023 for a specific committee to look into this. It would be a great objective of that committee to look at the specifics of what can be done in those areas.

Multinational companies are quite good at looking at the impact generative AI technology will have on office workers or white collar workers, and I believe Deputy O'Reilly mentioned this on 15 May, and less so in trying to determine exactly what impact it will have on those working in more labour intensive tasks. I have no simple answer to the question but it is something we need to look at in much more detail.
