I guess I am not making claims about what changes will or will not happen in the future. The Senator mentioned that we are worried on the basis of the number of times people have made those assertions. In considering that, I am interested in knowing what evidence or things they are pointing to. In countries where assisted dying has been the practice for more than two decades, such as the Netherlands, I am not aware that research shows people do not trust their doctors anymore.
