I would like to flag the issues. A major issue with the question raised about public opinion is that Canada, like most countries, is afflicted with widespread ableism. Therefore, we say that if you were to ask the public would you want MAID if you had to live with a disability and use a G tube to eat, I am sad to say the majority of people would likely agree. The problem with that is the message that sends to people like me who are disabled, which is that if you need to eat with a feeding tube, then you should be suicidal, and that is a no go for me.
