Before beginning, I must read into the public record decisions the committee agreed at our private meeting last week regarding EU COM (2023) 280, a proposal for a regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council on jurisdiction, applicable law, recognition and enforcement of measures and co-operation in matters relating to the protection of adults. The committee’s decisions are as follows. It was agreed that the proposal did not warrant further scrutiny. It was further agreed that there were no subsidiarity concerns with the proposal. I thank everyone for their patience on this matter.
