The first item of business is the election of a Leas-Chathaoirleach. I formally invite proposals for the position of Leas-Chathaoirleach.

I formally nominate Deputy Gino Kenny, my constituency colleague, for the position of Leas-Chathaoirleach. He tabled the Bill back in 2020 that was successfully voted through. That is why we as a committee were established. It would be right and just for him to be our Leas-Chathaoirleach in that context.
John Lahart (Dublin South West, Fianna Fail)

I second that nomination.

Are there any other proposers? No. Congratulations to Deputy Gino Kenny, who is an excellent parliamentarian. He is now elected Leas-Chathaoirleach of this committee.
