I advise members that at our meeting on 3 May, Senator Garret Ahearn was elected to the position of Leas-Chathaoirleach of the Joint Committee on Enterprise, Trade and Employment. I now call on Senator Ahearn to take the chair to make his declaration in accordance with Standing Order 104(3A).
An Leas-Chathaoirleach:
In accordance with Standing Order 104(3A), I do solemnly declare that I will duly and faithfully, and to the best of my knowledge and ability, execute the office of Leas-Chathaoirleach of the Joint Committee on Enterprise, Trade and Employment without fear or favour, apply the rules as laid down by the House in an impartial and fair manner, maintain order, and uphold the rights and privileges of members in accordance with the Constitution and Standing Orders.
That concludes the committee's business in public session for today. I now propose that the committee goes into private session to consider other business. Is that agreed? Agreed.
