Apologies have been received from Senator Paul Daly. Before we move on to the agenda, I remind members to be aware that there are no audio files of private meetings held in the committee room, but there is no guarantee parts of the meeting will not be recorded by someone else in error. For the attendance records, will any members participating from outside Leinster House or its precincts let me know for the record?

I am participating from outside the Leinster House complex.

Members participating from outside the Leinster House complex are advised that parliamentary privilege is considered to apply to utterances of members participating online within the confines of Leinster House or in the committee room. There can be no assurances in respect of participation online from outside the parliamentary precincts and members should be mindful of this when they are contributing.

This meeting concerns a review of the draft report on proposed amendments arising from pre-legislative scrutiny of the agricultural and food chain supply Bill 2022. I will now introduce the draft report and propose the amendments put forward by members.

The joint committee went into private session at 5.48 p.m. and resumed in public session at 7.03 p.m.

Deputy Michael Fitzmaurice took the Chair.
