There is a request for additional classrooms and space in schools. Many parents would make the point that accommodation is not the only issue and it is about the resourcing of that accommodation. I know a school but I will not mention its name or location. If a school or class opens but there is not properly trained staff or proper resources, the process will not work. We have ended up seeing many children in special classes or schools being suspended, expelled or withdrawn by parents because it was not an appropriate placement. Does Mr. Kearney have any figures on the number of students in inappropriate placements or being homeschooled because there is no appropriate placement for them?
