It was less a question about the work involved because I do not think any of the schools are averse to the work involved but there is quite an elongated timeline from when needs are first identified in a child to the child getting the appropriate supports. The universal design for learning piece needs digging into but we cannot do it in the one minute and 47 seconds available to me so I might pivot slightly.

The assessment of the July provision is less than sanguine in policy advice paper No. 5. Mr. Kearney emphasised how important the July provision is to him. I know he is new in the job, and perhaps a new brush sweeps clean. What has brought about the change in mindset towards the July provision? Have there been changes in the model of provision?
