We have received apologies from Deputy Bacik and Senators O'Sullivan and Ruane. Some Deputies and Senators will be joining us online but they are not necessarily in Leinster House and, therefore, they will not be able to contribute.

Before we commence our engagement with Tusla, I need to deal with another agenda item related to the decision of members in relation to EU COM(2022)112, a proposal re the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund and the instrument for financial support for police co-operation, preventing and combating crime, and crisis management. Members have considered EU COM(2022)112 and have agreed that no further scrutiny is required regarding this proposal.

I acknowledge that 9 May is Europe Day, which celebrates peace and unity in Europe. This year, Europe Day was a solemn occasion for Ukrainians displaced from their homes internally and those who are refugees of war in other countries, including Ireland, as a result of the war by Russia. Ireland has been welcoming Ukrainian families since the invasion began in February, including unaccompanied children as a result of the conflict. Members intend to do all we can to ensure the necessary supports are available and accessible.
