On the data protection question, to supplement what Mr. Newham has said, PIAB already has a data protection code in place. The staff of PIAB receive regular training and briefing on data protection in the claims handling process, and PIAB would compile a significant number of data protection impact assessments regarding their work, so there is a well-established data protection process in place. In developing the general scheme, the Department will also work with the Data Protection Commission, DPC, and the Department of Social Protection to ensure data protection safeguards are in place.
