I will keep my reply very short because I am conscious of time. From an EirGrid perspective, the system services market needs to change and evolve. The system services arrangement was really good. It actually allowed us to bring on the right services to support the transition to meeting the renewables target of 40%. That now needs to evolve to the next level. We have outlined the requirements in this regard in detail and provided them to the regulators.

The capacity market needs to change to get the right capacity onto the system. To my mind, it entails very reliable generation with a low-carbon footprint and renewable gas in the future. The final element is that the energy market needs to change to send out the right short-term signals to unlock the demand-side potential.
