In last week's Irish Farmers Journal, there was a very good editorial by the editor questioning the green deal and how we produce our food in the European Union in view of what has happened in eastern Europe. Are we going to reduce the acreage of food? Are we going to be rewetting given biodiversity and climate change is very important? He has questioned it. I am sure all of the committee members have read the editorial, and I see the Cathaoirleach is smiling. It is a very good editorial and a timely intervention because we need to be using all the tools in the toolbox, but we also have to be very careful of what is happening because Ukraine and Russia produce a lot of wheat for the world market.
