I know that members are all aware that part of what this legislation is trying to do is to bundle all of the provisions concerning the admission and treatment of children in inpatient facilities into one Act. We would support that legislative coherence, to try to minimise the amount of cross-referencing between legislation. Any provision relating to the appointment of guardiansad litemunder the general scheme of the mental health (amendment) Bill should include the provision in that Bill.
