Ms Isabel Simpson:
At the moment, we have 12 staff in projects overseas and 16 staff based in Dublin. It has varied. We have had problems during Covid and, in particular, we had difficulties when airspace was closed down due to Covid and countries were not conducive to travel. Over the past couple of years, we have had fewer staff from Ireland in the field but we certainly hope that, in 2022, we will start to be able to get more staff placed again, now that international travel is improving. However, the flip side is that many of our staff extended contracts and stayed much longer on their field assignments during Covid, partly because they could not travel back to Ireland but also because they very much did not want to leave the emergency situation and leave colleagues with heavy workloads while the pandemic was raging during 2020 and 2021.
