A cheap and easy win in rural areas is to look at the speed limits on our rural roads. Most rural roads are 80 km/h, and if we looked to reduce the speed limits in rural areas, that in itself would make cycling and walking a more pleasurable experience, make our roads safer for everyone who is using the roads, and it would not cost any money at all.
