Gabhaim buíochas, a Chathaoirligh. I appreciate the Chairman’s raising of the correspondence in respect of the MetroLink project and Transport Infrastructure Ireland. We are in bit of a difficult position in advance of the publication of the review of the national development plan but what seems clear from the Minister for Transport’s comments at the weekend is that there have been project delays or budgetary issues in respect of metro and it is important that we get to the bottom of those. It looks certain now that the project will enter a new phase where there will be full funding available. It is important, in advance of us going to the procedure of the railway procurement order, etc., that we have transparency on what has been spent and on what progress has been made. Focusing specifically on the MetroLink project may be of benefit because my fear would be if we bring in all of the related issues in respect of Transport Infrastructure Ireland, that we may be here for several sessions. I will take guidance from the rest of the committee on that point.
