Presumably the Tánaiste agrees that Covid-19 is airborne and that ventilation is important. Yet, over a year into the pandemic where we are aware of this fact, there is no legal requirement on pub or restaurant owners to have any ventilation in place to protect their workers. That is a health risk for workers. A well-ventilated pub or restaurant is significantly safer than a badly ventilated one. The Tánaiste is saying there is no legal requirement whatsoever and he has no plans to bring in a legal requirement on ventilation.
